He estado sintiendo bastante neutras ultimamente. como, feliz aun triste. divertido aun sarcastico

I feel rather neutral these days. Like, happy yet sad. Funny yet sarcastic.

Like, blessed yet deprived. Full of life yet empty. Full of energy yet weak. Awake yet tired.

It's funny how the antonyms matches to uncannily with each other. Come to think of it, antonyms are not the extreme opposite of something, it just depicts something else that's not like it.

Im getting deep again. Look up and get you pesky little prick.

But sometimes, it does not help to know that not only your classmates are somewhat smart (not insanely, but still, you get the drift right?) yet extremely hardworking and studious. I love planes and stuff like that, but sometimes it takes a little more than just mere passion to achieve something that you set your deary eyes on.

A few years ago, someone (i cant remember who that person was) once told me:

There are times you get stuck in a crossroad, and you've got no idea which way to go. Left or right. Front or back. You're just stuck right in the center, each route separated 90 degrees apart.

That's when you just look up to sky and know that there's someone else up there that helps you chart your routes.

I love this job.

i cant help thinking like an engineer.

Instead of "that's thing is one and a half times bigger"
I'd say "that thing's like 1.5 times it's size man"

Instead of "just times it by 3 and you'll get the answer"
I'd say "just multiply it by 3 and you'll get the answer. And oh, don't forget to plus minus 0.01"

Instead of "Can i upsize my coke please?"
I'd say "Hey, can you integrate more volume to my cup? I'd add in 50cents for that"

Instead of "Let's look at the problem"
I'd say "Let's solve the problem"

Instead of "Refer to the picture below"
I'd say "Refer to Fig. 1.2"

And to those who always mix things up. There's a difference between PI(π) and PHI(Φ).

It's a saturday and my tests are all over =) Waking up to the feeling of no worries can be really quite comforting except for that little braze on my right thigh due to a welding accident i had during Maintenance practical. It was quite serious given the fact that i've burnt a huge hole (See fig. 1.1) in my pants which was, fortunately, about to retire from my closet.

Fig. 1.1 A burnt hole cause by molten aluminum from welding.

For the matter of fact, i was burnt as well. If you take up a 50 cent coin and multiply it by 1.5 it'll give you the approximate size of my wound =) but i've really got to thank the leather apron for "saving" my leg.

As a safety precaution, all of us had to wear a leather apron as leather is hard to burn. So well, when the molten metal dropped onto my leather apron (it stayed there for about 5 secs before i panicked) and i felt my thigh burning so i shifted my leg (before i panicked) and the stupid thing fell into my pants brazing my leg.

If it werent for it, i'd be in the hospital right now, unable to walk. Thank God =)

You guys gotta hear this. It's awesome. It's britney, *****.

Trapped in a perpetual cage in this sophisticated and widening world of perfection just to be better and stronger than others. Well, here this... SCREW. THAT. SHIT. And stress is just a word that's overused for every possible known thing.

Travelling can be stressful.
Studying can bee stressful too.
So can "stressing" your eyes too much on the computer screen.
Did i mention the stresses on your body?
How about when the place is full of confusion? Stressful ain't it?

Overused piece of crap.

Just today i had a paper on Aircraft Powerplants and im happy to say that it might just be a tad bit better than Aircraft Maintenance. Well, i did screw up one part though, and i know that i'll be so wrong because i've memorised the wrong formula, which much of this time, i always thought was the correct one.

At the first level of T18 (just right beside the main elevator) today, i saw this.

No... Smoking, eating/drinking or photography on campus. Sorry dude, i just took a picture. Try a better sign next time =P It's gotta be some prank that the MM students tried to do. And i like it like that =)

Let me share a really chill out song with you guys =)

Moving on, it's kinda funny sometimes when you think about whether anyone ever reads your blog. Like it's up on the internet and maybe, just maybe, someone might stumble upon this site of yours. It's even more funny how diary's are replaced by these "blogs" as we call it, and i wont be hoping to find any interesting read such as Anne Frank's diary in the near future.

As for me, this blog is as good as obsolete.

I share a huge passion for writing but oftentimes i get something called the "writers block". For those of you (if you're even reading) having a writer's block is a phenomenon involving temporary loss of ability to begin or continue writing.

Then again, sometimes it's just me - im too tired or too lazy. In fact, i stopped giving out my blog address since... Im not too sure myself!

Oh well...

Goodnight world. You've been missed.

This post will be about yesterday and not about today, because it's only 4pm in the day and hey, the day is still young! So here goes. This will be a slightly long post though, so read on if you care.

Newton's Third Law
For every action there is an, equal and opposite reaction.

there was sir isaac newton beneath an apple tree
an apple hit him in the head and he called it gravity
who would have known that his name would ever get so big
we named a cookie after him and filled it up with fig

theorizing gravitation by a simple observation
formulating physics laws with the due consideration
your third law still applies to almost every situation
never to be proved wrong, not by any calculation

As engineers, there'll be one thing that's totally inevitable and that's Issac Newton. I know i've blogged about him before and yeah, i've ranted and ranted. But as i further into this field i begin to realise that Newton's everywhere. In equations, laws, books, everything.

And for once, fellow engineers agree with me.

Yesterday, ibrahim, kenny and i went to bras basah to complete our math project on Newton's Method (it's sorta like a branch of calculus) and before long, after we're done, the began to wonder why the name "Newton" appears in almost every context of our study.

After that chat, we headed over to suntec to cathc the computer show but it wasnt really our kinda thing so we headed over to Marina Square, and that was where i got my really neat and new, cool toy - a AH-64D Longbow Apache model kit.

And the box...

I know you guys might be asking, "Shouldn't Apaches be like green in colour?! WHY IS IT BLACK?!" Well, there can only be 2 explanations. One, it's black cause it's a camera trick and two, i painted it black. Go guess!

So there ya go! A puzzle for today! Solve it and tell me the answer and you MIGHT just win yourself a million bucks. Literally.

"The best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what-have-you. The right person is still going to think the sun shines out of your ass. That's the kind of person that's worth sticking with."

"I never realize how much I like being home unless I've been somewhere really different for a while."

"Someday you'll be back here honey... on your terms."

"He is the cheese to my macaroni. And, I know that people are supposed to fall in love before they reproduce, but... I guess normalcy isn't really our style."

My love changes

The lyrics of a song that i once particularly loved went "let it go, let it be. don't waste all your emotions on this tit-for-tat machine" - yet, even after hearing it i wonder if in the end it was all worth it. I ponder about why some people react differently at the things i say and it makes me wonder yet again, "is it me?". Oftentimes, these are the very questions that we yearn to know but yet, giving up the thought of asking it in the end because there's simply no answer to it.

Today, chark asked me a question:

Prove the following result:
A triangle with sides the can be written in the form n^2 + 1, n^2 -1 and 2n (where n > 1) is right angled. Show, by means of a counter example that the converse is false.

I gave her a long and bombastic answer, which in the end, proved to be correct. Well, in case you guys don't know what the question means, it's talking about proving the forms (n^2 + 1, n^2 -1 and 2n) wrong and these forms are not equal to that of a right angled triangle.

genio.

Anyhow, this is what looked like on my way home today. Gloomy and strangely warm.

And some of you may be sick and tired of conventional maths, so much so that sometimes you'd get the strong temptation to tear that piece of math paper into shreds and feign madness so that you may be sent home to take the paper another day. Well, kudos to this guy (whom i dont know) to this really cool work he's done. Have a look, and smile.

Life is...

These past few days has been really fulfilling. I spent my time doing many things and for once, i'm liking the holidays. I made some pretty cool stuff for my room and also rearranged the furnitures around. If there's anything to describe it it'll be a sense of accomplishment =)

And i've been thinking about reconnecting with some friends that i've not talked to in a long long time. It's been quite awhile since i sat by some friends and actually chatted till it was too late to take a bus home. It's been sometime that i last sat down with a friend at a park bench. Oh wells... I know what i gotta do.

To be honest, I've had a little bit of writer's block lately, under the circumstances. I spent the last two weeks studying for tests, taking my last possible tests at the very final time of school, like from 5:15pm to 6:15pm?!

As i think through what i want to do next time, honestly, i haven't got the slightest idea. I know that i want to get to MIT and complete my studies. I know i want to make my mum happy and things like that, but that's just pretty much it.

But sometimes dreams remain as dreams, either because we're just dreaming or because they're not something that can even be relished. Then again, that's life. I've learnt alot of things that life has to gave for the past term and for these kinda things... sooner is definitely better than later.

Oh wells... So much for the deep thought *snaps fingers* back to reality!

The Name's Newton

The name's called Newton. Issac Newton. He was born on the 14th January 1643, and thus it makes him 364 years old this year. He currently resides in Kensington, London, Englang, where, well, that was where he was last seen.

His alma mater was the Trinity College, and he will thoroughly be grateful for all the lessons learnt as he will embark on his journey to be one of the greatest minds that the world has ever seen. Also, he was the "half-creator" of Calculus and many other nonsensical formulas, derivations and not forgetting laws.

In his free time, he has interest physics, mathematics, astronomy, alchemy, and philosophy. Not forgetting, he has invented so many things that have really proved to be useful in our everyday lives. He is also very well known for Newtonian Mechanics, Universal gravitation, Calculus and Optics.
