I was in a mood to blog yesterday night but i had to type an article, and sometimes, doing that really takes the creativity outta me. You see, when you write, you should write with no boundaries - creativity as the call it, creativity knows no bounds. But when you start writing with a topic things start to get narrowed down.
That's not what i want to say though, take a look at this link over here...
My Singapore Airshow 2008 article has a hit of 2100 people. Which is good, by Oops! standards. So please go there and take a look at it =)
This past week has been quite dramatic though - for me at least. Let's just say that my girlfriend was quite unhappy at some stuff but we managed to patch things back together and we're better than before, my long-awaited exam results and the stupid trip to m'sia.
My exam results
ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS I ----------A THERMOFLUIDS I -----------------------------A COMPUTER-AIDED DRAFTING ------------A ELECTRONICS ---------------------------------A EVERYDAY CHEMICAL HAZARDS----------A ORAL COMMUNICATION --------------------DIST IDEA ----------------------------------------------DIST MECHANICS I ------------------------B+
And my GPA for this sem is 3.92. Gotta thank God and cali for helping me pull through when i thought i wouldn't =) honestly, these grades come as a surprise as i really had not much of a hope achieving a good result. And prayers do help... wouldn't hurt if you said one.
Therefore, im grateful.
Oh and you guys should totally check this out...
It's Dubai's new creation. The Arch Bridge. The peeps in Dubai are extreme when it comes to modern architecture. In fact, i reckon them the best. Look at the twists and stuff you're think they even impossible to engineer, but guess what? The construction is already underway. I'm beginning to wonder if Singapore's IR would be any match to a bridge.
So i've said pretty much and i guess and i am starting to sense (even though i'm typing this way before anyone would see) people speed reading to get this over and done with, so...
Pictures tell a thousand words... ITE advert and Japanese video game. can see the similarities?
A quaint little lane in East Coast Road
A place where nice waffles are sold, suntec city
Warning sign, i missed the good part and i realise
So that's a pretty brief history of what had happened in the past week =) i'll be back to writing stories again soon.
After im not so tied down to Oops! And hopefully, i'll be able to take a break and so wander around singapore sometime. Walk along Baghdad Street and snapping some photos perhaps.

Clockwatching can be such a fascinating thing to do. Have you ever stared a clock and notice how every second just passes by? Then when you do, you’ve got the strange obsession of wanting to stop the clock – the time.
Stopping the time – imagine if you had it. A power that only God can have, then again, it doesn’t mean you can be God.
Then the sound on a computer – you’ve got message.
You just snap of whatever you’re doing – clockwatching – and get back to reality. And before you do that, you take a look at the clock to remind yourself of the time. Then you turn back to the computer, unknowingly that you just had the strangest obsession over time.

Dreams, i've got one, such as publishing a book someday, and i intend to stick to it! If nothing goes wrong though. And we all know, sometimes life dont permit you to do certaing things because it's just life, it's never fair. Though you do harbour dreams, sometimes you're just dreaming. It just never really happens.
That's just the way it is.
So you do know that books needa have a good design and such to attract people to buy right? I've got a solution! Ying2! But she doesnt want to help me to design my book(if i ever get to publish one). Cause she's turning evil. BUT WHY?
[Bar'ley] says : you gotta help me design my book =) WHERE'S MY DFFP? says : noo. ill turn evil soon. [Bar'ley] says : and when you turn evil i'll give you some honey stars to make you good again [Bar'ley] says : or some of th heaven and earth green tea [Bar'ley] says : i saw it on the tv.. it works.. it turns baddies into goodies
Count your blessings, before they're long gone. As chief editor, i actually find it freaking hard to write articles. Damn. SO that's a confession, something that not many of you guys know. It's really saddening though, to know that such fact exists. Enlighten me someone, PLEASE!

4 years ago, on a particular NPCC training session...
"GIVE ME A HELL YEAH!" HELL YEAH!!

Alright, I'll be more focuc on stories now and then, whenever i feel like it, and i'll post them up at my other site So everytime you see a story up here, it'll be on there as well =)
Push/Pull
I stood in front of an entrance at kfc at 12am
The door had no push/pull sign. I scanned from top to bottom but neither is there a handle. I tried knocking it but there was just a cold clank coming from it. Then i remember how doors were supposed to be.
Square, rectangle.
Hinges, keys.
Handles, knobs.
I stepped back and take a look at the door again, and realised it wasn't and ordinary door. Now i took a look at it again, bewildered. I saw a tag at the top right hand corner. It read...
"Protected by Cisco Co. Electronic Sliding Door"
It really makes you wonder how we perceive things as they are. How are doors supposed to look like?
When one door closes, just kick it down or saw a hole in the wall.

I felt like writing a story and i did. It isnt great though. Kinda corny i think. Im not too sure if you get the gist of the story though. it's rather, corny. Haha. This is a disclaimer. So dont go tagging "man your story's boring" at the end of it all =P
Onions
"You and onions make me cry", was the the last sentence i heard from her as she departed back to LA.
Thinking back, i never knew it would be so hard to forget someone - a friend. Literally, i am chopping up fresh onions for my dinner, spaghetti, something which i really look forward to. A food that she has a borderless appetite for.
I remember the songs that we sang about onions on the swing under the old oak tree. We even wrote a song titled "You and onions".
Onions really make me cry. Right now chopping these onions could be such a gruesome chore because i'm not sure if this is my excuse to cry for you. The coming days would even be more trying though.
I will have to get through this. It's tough however to get through this urge. It's hard trying to resist this test.

Do not get me wrong i cannot wait, for you to some home. For now you're not here and I'm not there, it's like we're on our own To figure it out, consider how to find a place to stand Instead of walking away and instead of nowhere to land
Happy lunar new year to you guys =) Hopefully all of your red packets are filled with lots of joy (you know what i mean =)) All the best for people like pam, eric, eugene, mak and whoever who's exams haven't started yet.
Think of exams like constipation, just that it lasts longer.
Just for the record, i didnt go visiting today. Well, it's rather nice to have the whole afternoon to yourself, doing things that you like. It's been a while since i got this kinda serenity all for myself. Take a break people. Get away from the smoky roads and busy streets...

Watch this video. You'll go "what the hell" after the end of it all.
The past few days has been really tiring for me. There was an Oops chalet which was mostly about meeting for the Chiefs. To cut the long story short, i actually knew more people in oops than i thought.
seriously. sometimes it's weird to even think about it.
----------
Then, during the chalet, i came up with a theory.
Being in st pat's doesnt make you a patrician. It is what you experience along the way that really count.
----------
Honestly, right now i dont feel like blogging, im just tired. So until then...

FREEDOM!! Spelled with capital letters.
All my papers are finally over! and i really really rejoice! i've put in alot of time and effort into studying. Hopefully i will do well, but then again, there's no one to blame if i dont. I'll get my results on 28th Feb.
As much as i wish for myself to do well (who wouldnt?!) and get through with a good GPA. I am quite sure that this semester wont be as well performed as last semester. I look to the skies everyday hoping very hard that things might change but i know God works in really mysterious ways.
This picture was taken today at Foodcourt 4. A few moments (seconds in fact) before a huge crowd of very well dressed Year 3 students hogged the exact same spot and took, i supposed, their last few group photos in SP. It's an interesting picture because the only colours that stand out is red and green =)
Bras Basah. I will remember that place for all the long hours of toiling for a few papers that didnt really turn out well.
Odeon Towers. The building beside bras basah. Also the one which i did all my revision. Ahh.. See you next semester. I'll be back... To study.
The bus stop that accompanied my wait for the bus every single day. Thank you bus stop. You're very kind. But rarely do i stand under you.
And i got a new phone! It's a much anticipated wait though. I've been wanting a new phone since ages. And yet, i stuck faithfully to SingTel, which to me offers quite lousy connection to my phone. So i finally got thee change and right now, i'm pretty happy with my new toy =)
I came to realise also that despite all the functions, i wont even be able to use some. Internet, and other stuffs means you just gotta pay more. Pay = money = a luxury which i dont really have
I know you want it
Now i know you really want it
Okay, i actually have a lot more to blog. However, i guess i'll just leave it to another day, lest i bore you out again. It's 9:04pm right now, and im hungry. So i'll go eat while you guys carry on... Doing whatever you're already doing.
See you.

The Name's Newton
The name's called Newton. Issac Newton. He was born on the 14th January 1643, and thus it makes him 364 years old this year. He currently resides in Kensington, London, Englang, where, well, that was where he was last seen.
His alma mater was the Trinity College, and he will thoroughly be grateful for all the lessons learnt as he will embark on his journey to be one of the greatest minds that the world has ever seen. Also, he was the "half-creator" of Calculus and many other nonsensical formulas, derivations and not forgetting laws.
In his free time, he has interest physics, mathematics, astronomy, alchemy, and philosophy. Not forgetting, he has invented so many things that have really proved to be useful in our everyday lives. He is also very well known for Newtonian Mechanics, Universal gravitation, Calculus and Optics.
